Estimating
• Produce project estimates and quotations for all customer products within procedure and cost structure within expected time frames.
• Maintain standards for labor and material costs for catalog items.
• Maintain estimating material costs in estimating program.
• Provide knowledgeable, personable, and friendly support to customers on product questions and custom jobs.
• Suggest alternative methods of production process or material to improve operational efficiency, equipment utilization, customer satisfaction and/or Blanks/USA margins.
Purchasing/Inventory Control
• Monitor inventory levels and purchase raw stock as needed to maintain our inventory levels.
• Coordinate outsourcing of projects when needed.
• Research vendors for more favorable pricing/terms/products.
• Negotiate pricing with vendors
• Properly complete purchase orders, send to vendors and complete receiving paperwork.
• Help in creation of bill of materials for new products.
Miscellaneous
• Assist in entering new products into our computer system and the website to maintain consistency and accuracy.
• Set-up bar codes for new product
• Support the teamwork of all internal departments (Shipping, Customer Service, Production, Finance, and Sales).
• Make supervisor aware of areas where assistance is needed.
Other Job Functions
• Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
• Development of written procedures for job responsibilities.
• Purchase materials (paper, dies, etc) for custom quotes.
• Cross train others to cover all essential job functions.
• Produce analytical reports as requested in Excel.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
